Let there be light!

    First, I'll start you off with an explanation. Drew was insisting that the dozen in "I'm dozen (doing) stuff" was indeed a word. I Google'd it spelled all sorts of different ways in an effort to either appease him or prove that I was right when I said it was not a word. As you can see by the name of the blog I won the battle but not the war.

    Today's project was not the first to be started but it was the first to be completed. The light fixture at the top of the stairs gave up on life a few days after we moved in. It's a dark spot in the house so it was pretty high priority on our list of things to fix and upgrade.

   

    We grabbed a simple and cheap fixture from ACE Hardware, borrowed a ladder from my dad (thanks Dad!), read the instructions and got to installing.

    Because the installers didn't cut a big enough hole around the outlet box it was more difficult to attach the mounting bar than it should have been, but all in all it was a pretty simple and we finished in less than 15 minutes.

    In the next couple days we're hoping to show you our first (semi) major renovation: the Pepto Bismol laundry room!
